The Passing of Retired Brother Wayne Harvey

We are deeply saddened to share with you the passing of retired Brother Wayne Harvey on September 12th, 2024.

Wayne had started working here at American Airlines in 1968 and retired from the position of Crew Chief, Overhaul Mechanic – Machinist in 1997.

Obituary for Wayne Everett Harvey

Wayne Everett Harvey was born on March 8, 1936, in Bradford, Arkansas to Oscar William Harvey and Beatrice A. (Morris) Harvey. He passed from this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Wayne was reared and educated in Truman, Arkansas and graduated with the Truman High School Class of 1955. After high school, Wayne enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was married on January 25, 1958, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Bonnie Jean (Carter) Harvey. Wayne spent most of his working life as a machinist with American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma for about 30 years. He was a member of Friendship Batist Church in Owasso where he was active with the Prime Timers Sunday School group. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed a variety of past times such as woodworking, metal detecting, and fishing. He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Beatrice, three brothers, Carthel, Jerry, and Marshall, and two sisters, Bernadean and Udell.
