The Passing of Retired Sister Rebecca Anne Lopez

We are deeply saddened to share with you the passing of retired Sister Rebecca Anne Lopez on March 6, 2024.

Rebecca started working here at American Airlines back in 1996 and retired in 2017 from the position of Material Logistics Specialist.

Obituary for Rebecca Anne Lopez

Rebecca Anne (Beck) Lopez, 73, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2024, at her home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Beck was born to Bernadina Heredia Lopez and Francisco Antonio Lopez on January 6, 1951, in El Paso, Texas.
She graduated from Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1970. Beck retired from American Airlines where she was a logistics coordinator and the heart, brain, and soul of the shipping and receiving department. Beck also had her welder’s certification and worked as a logistics trainer at Murphy Switch Gauges and in private security with National Security where she advanced to Deputy Chief in charge of 30 people in 20 high level locations.
Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother was a poet and intellectual who enjoyed traveling, kayaking, reading, and writing short stories. She also enjoyed carving wood into art.
Beck loved her grandkids and great grandkids but most of all she loved gatherings with her beloved family, siblings, and extended family throughout the years.
Beck was preceded in death by her parents; and sister: Gracie Parson.
She is survived by her sons: Christopher Anthony Lopez and Eric Lyn Sofian (Sacha); sisters: Gloria Dentis (Arthur), Kathy Casanova, Vivian Gonzalez, and Nina Corine Lopez; brothers: Jimmy Lopez (Phil) and Mike Lopez; grandchildren: Christopher Anthony Lopez, II (Sabrina), Gracie Rebecca Anne Coats (Cody), Andrea Ryan Isaac, Trenton Sofian (Rian), Khailey Warford (Christian), Cooper, Journey, Elizabeth, Tilly, Riah, Lainey and Malaki Sofian; great-grandchildren: Solomon Alexander and Midas Rex Lopez, Bodie Lynn Coats, Emmett Allen Hoppock, and Parker Warford.
Beck will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14th at Moore’s Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, OK.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 15th also at Moore’s Memory Chapel.
