The Time Has Come to Answer the Call!

Tracy Hardin
Executive Board Member at Large

Hello brothers and sisters, it is that time of year again. School has begun and yes football season is in full swing. Summer will start to give way to fall and before you know it, we will be making plans for the holidays with family and friends.

There is also one other event that affects all of us in the Tulsa community. The Tulsa Area United Way begins its annual fund drive to help non-profit agencies in Tulsa and the five surrounding counties. So, if you live Tulsa, Creek, Okmulgee, Rogers, or Wagoner County, you are affected by the service they offer.

Last year they served tens of thousands of people through the 59 partner agencies in the Tulsa region. This could not happen without the support of donors like you. The Tulsa Area United Way is the only non-profit organization in the Tulsa area in which a single gift, no matter how small or large, can directly and broadly impact the lives of our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

The TWU and the AFL-CIO have a partnership with the United Way that goes back over 75 years when it was called the community chest. To keep this historic track record going strong, the United Way needs your help.

If you were a former contributor and would like to re-start that relationship, the time is now.

If you would like to become a new contributor and start a new relationship, the time is now.

To do so just click on the United Way Logo on the front page of the Local 514 webpage and follow the steps, it’s that easy. If you are coming back or starting new, every dollar count.

Organization like Campfire, Boys and Girls Scouts, A New Leaf, Salvation Army, and Tulsa Senior Services thank you for any support you can give.

Live United!

The campaign runs from September 6th. – November 7th. 2019
