Tulsa Retirees Have Multiple Options for Services

AA-boloSOURCE:  The Dispatch, 10-31-2013 Base Maintenance News – AA M&E Newsletter

Retirees in Tulsa have several options for retiree services. The American Airlines Federal Credit Union has multiple branches in the Tulsa area, outside of the Tulsa Base. Travel activity can be done through Retiree Jetnet, calling the 800#, or visiting the ticket counter at TUL. Unfortunately, routine visits to the Tulsa Maintenance Base are no longer allowed. Effective November 1, 2013, AA Retiree Badges will no longer provide access to the Base or its facilities. Retirees can continue to request retiree badges through HDQ for discounts and other OAL travel identification. Internal audits concluded that the open policy for retirees at the Base was no longer appropriate. If a retiree has a special situation that requires a visit to the Base, then you may request a visitor badge through Security.

The internal audit findings related to access control and identified several areas for change in order to improve em- ployee safety, physical security, and corporate asset man- agement. Reported issues included former employees, con- tractors, suppliers, and others with unrestricted access to the base. In the coming weeks, employees will likely see other changes in badging at TULE.
