TWU 514 Chairman of Maintenance Report, July 11, 2017

Brothers and Sisters

There has been a lot of discussion in regards to the shift swap policy and the language.  This is a policy and it does not trump the current agreement.  The current agreement states you are eligible for overtime proffer on your current shift as posted. Your overtime hours currently do not follow you to a different shift if you choose to do a shift swap. In the event the shift swap language is ratified by a vote of the membership, your overtime hour’s will follow you to the shift if you choose to swap.

Acting Crew Chief has also been a topic.  Under the current agreement a Acting C/C will be chosen from the current crew list as posted.  There were changes in the 2012 bankruptcy language that allows a C/C to be utilized in the C/C capacity in the event of a change of shift.

There are a lot of rumors on the floor in regards to a recall/reassignment for the AMTO’s in Tulsa. There is a need to start a sixth 737 line in Tulsa but the Company has not told us how the line will be funded with headcount.  The Company has several options, one is to use the current headcount,  one is to outsource and one is to go up in headcount with a recall/reassignment. I need to be very clear when I say the Company has not told us anything about a plan to go up in headcount.
The Negotiations Committee returns to the table the 17th of July for two weeks and will hopefully move us closer to something we can vote on,   Thank You for the Opportunity to serve you here in Tulsa
In Solidarity,
Pat Kinnamon
