TWU Base Safety has an opening for a Safety Coordinator. Those who have a passion for safety and are interested in working with the Tulsa Base Safety group please apply. This will be a full time position for a Title I, AO Safety Representative
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Accident Reviews
- Safety Walks
- Liaison between TWU and Management
- Lead Monthly Safety Meetings
- Give Safety Report-outs at TWU Membership Meetings
- Attend Joint Safety Council Meetings
- Learn and Become Familiar with Local, State and Federal Safety Regulations
- Resource to Shop/Dock Safety Teams
- Provide Safety Support to the Members on the Floor
- Provide Some Training
The TWU Maintenance Base Safety Committee members will represent their respective locations for a period of forty-two (42) months. After forty-two (42) months, the position will be reposted for interviews and the selection of a new Safety Committee Representative. If after completion of the panel and interviews there are no qualified candidates the current Committee member may serve for an additional twenty-four (24) months if they so desire.
This position will be filled by the most qualified individual who will be determined through an interview process. This job is fast-paced, busy and requires self-motivated, energetic individuals. Experience in Safety is not required, but is helpful. Communication and people skills are a must. Clerical skills will be helpful.
