TWU 514 Safety is looking for someone who has a passion for safety with the desire to help others, for a fulltime TWU Safety Coordinator position.
Duties will include (but not limited to) accident reviews, safety walks to identify hazards and help provide solutions, liaison between TWU and management, giving safety report outs at TWU hall, attending Joint Safety Committee and Accident Prevention Council meetings, and most importantly, providing safety support to the members on the floor.
This position will be filled by the most senior qualified individual, who will be determined by an interview process.
This job is demanding, fast paced, busy and requires a self-motivated, energetic individual.
- Experience in safety is not required but is helpful.
- Communication and people skills are a must, and computer and clerical skills will be helpful.
