  • Friday, Nov. 15 David Seymour, Senior Vice President, Operations of US Airways  came to Tulsa to have a “Getting to know us” meeting.
  • Among those attending were VP of Local 514,  Gary Yingst, 514’s Recording Sec. Jay Potter and AA VP of TULE, Bill Collins

What does the DOJ ruling on merger mean here in Tulsa?

  • When does the 4.3% raise take place?

    The raise will take effect when the plan of reorganization which provides for the merger becomes effective—i.e. upon exiting bankruptcy. The timing of the raise has nothing to do with the operational integration of the two carriers: it will take place before any single carrier petition can be filed, let alone approved.   • The $11 billion merger is now expected to be completed by December, according to AMR
  • Assuming the legal clearance comes, American and AMR would exit bankruptcy and merge with US Airways to form American Airlines Group in the first week or two of December. (Dallas Morning News)
  • The airlines don’t expect to complete the transition to a single carrier for the next five years.
  • No immediate changes to our current plan of reorganization.
  • Per Mark Easton at the Town Hall meetings, We will recieve a Pro Rated Profit Sharing formula for all months applicable in 2013.

Grievance office ReModel

  • The entire office was in disrepair. Dale Lantz , Chairman of Facilities Maintenance has taken the task to update the facility. The office should be back up and running by the beginning of next week.

Line Test

  • Changes to the Aircraft Line Maintenance Qualifications Test A-25 (in the QAM) are to be reviewed on November 19. President of Local 514 – Dale Danker will be in attendance along with Terry Buck.
