The holiday season is upon us, and that means the biggest shopping season of the year is here, too.
But before you run to the mall or a big box store, consider buying American-made gifts.
• Go to UnionPlus.org/Clothing for discounts on American union-made apparel. Through Union Plus, you can get discounts from All American Clothing and Union House Apparel. • Most items at Akran Union Made are made in the U.S. and printed or engraved at a unionized plant in Canada. (Note: Most items are sold in large quantities.)
• Fat Brain Toys has “the single largest selection of American-made toys found anywhere,” according to their website. The company is based in Nebraska. Play for Keeps says their American-made toys are “eco-friendly, and are made from BPA, PVC, and phthalate free 100% recycled plastics, or 100% recycled fibers printed with soy based inks.”
