Holiday Pay Program for Tech Ops Team Members Represented by the TWU-IAM

Holiday Pay Program:

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: We have been told by Terry Buck, who did speak with the company regarding FMLA use during the dates (Nov 15th 2021 thru Jan 2nd 2022), FMLA will count AGAINST this Holiday Pay. If you use FMLA during the dates the company chooses, you will not be eligible to receive the Holiday Pay. An employee who uses FMLA will not receive the pay, as it counts missing their regularly scheduled work day.

As Tech Ops answered earlier: You are still eligible if you use scheduled vacation time during this time period (DAT, block vacation or comp). -Tech Ops Communications ***KEEP IN MIND*** everyone – this Holiday Day incentive program is not from TWU/IAM unions. The company OWNS this Holiday Pay program.

You can contact Tech Ops or TAC with any and all of your questions regarding it. I will still share a “Fact Sheet” of the questions I sent the company, when they respond. It will most likely be posted by the company on JetNet, since this is their program and not the unions.

Nov. 8, 2021

Tech Ops Team,

We are laser-focused on delivering for our customers and supporting our team during the busy holiday travel season. The reality is this holiday season is different than any other as we continue to welcome back more customers to travel.

The best way we can deliver for our customers is by running a safe and reliable operation. But it should not be lost on anyone that the way we do business is different than it was a mere 20 months ago. It’s not always easy for the team charged with keeping our airline moving. That’s why we developed a holiday pay program for peak travel days during the next two months, a time when so many of you are away from your families so our customers can be with theirs.

Here’s what you should know:

    • Eligibility: All U.S.-based Tech Ops team members represented by the TWU-IAM are eligible.
    • Perfect attendance: Eligible team members with perfect attendance for the time they are scheduled beginning Nov. 15, 2021 through Jan. 2, 2022 are eligible to receive $1,000.
    • Payout: We anticipate the $1,000 payout will be in your paycheck no later than early February.

We’re eager to make this great a holiday season for both our customers and team members. We hope the holiday pay program we put in place will help provide our team with additional support during this busy time and make it clear how grateful we are for the work you do.
