Jason Elliott Grim
December 28, 1984 – November 16, 2025
Jason Elliott Grim, affectionately known as “Adventure Man,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his residence in Jenks, Oklahoma. He was 40 years old.
Born on December 28, 1984, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jason was the beloved son of Howard and Melanie (Cottrell) Grim. At the age of nine, Jason received Jesus as his Lord and Savior while attending Victory Christian Center’s drama production of “Toymaker and Son,” a moment that would shape his faith and character throughout his life.
He attended Victory Christian School and Victory Christian Academy in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where he played quarterback on the six-man football team, demonstrating early the leadership and determination that would define his life.
Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, Jason enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2003, serving his country with honor and dedication. Following his military service, he continued his education at Oral Roberts University and Tulsa Tech, always pursuing knowledge and new skills.
Jason’s adventurous spirit was legendary among those who knew him. An accomplished skydiver with over 500 jumps to his credit, he also embraced the thrilling challenges of wingsuit flying and scuba diving. His love for the outdoors extended to kayaking and motorcycling, particularly enjoying rides on his BMW motorcycle. Whether soaring through the sky, exploring beneath the waves, or discovering nature’s beauty, Jason lived life to its fullest. He was majorly dedicated to his workouts at 10Gym, maintaining the strength and courage that fueled his adventurous lifestyle.
Recently celebrating six years as a mechanic with American Airlines, Jason took great pride in his work and the camaraderie of his colleagues. Those who knew him best described him as courageous, brave, thoughtful, caring, smart, helpful, a hard worker, funny, and quiet – a man who touched lives with his genuine kindness and infectious sense of humor.
Jason had a deep love and compassion for animals, especially his Bengal cat of five years, Loki, whom he rescued as a kitten from a snake. His role as Uncle Jason brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment with his nieces, Juniper Gabrielle and Skylar Louise.
Jason is survived by his parents, Howard and Melanie Grim; his brother, Jared Grim and wife Kourtney, and their daughter Skylar Louise; his sister, Joy Grogan and husband Jon, and their daughter Juniper Gabrielle; and his aunts and uncles: Larry and Debbie Meeks of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Rhonda Grace of Monroe, Louisiana; Jeff Grim of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Greg Grim of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mark Grim of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mary Grim of Rochester, Minnesota; and Ann Grim of Gilbert, Arizona.
A memorial service honoring Jason’s life will be held at Victory Christian Church. The time and date will be announced soon. A private interment will take place at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Jason’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His adventurous spirit, courageous heart, and zest for life will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey.
