Sisters and Brothers,
The Association Mechanic & Related/Stores Negotiating Committee met with American Airlines the week of January 9, 2017. During this week’s session, the Committee exchanged and discussed the following articles:
The subcommittee made up of LUS & LAA Quality Assurance Auditors, Planners and Technical Documentation Specialists met with the negotiating committee and prepared proposals in Hours of Service and Classifications that pertain to those work groups, the discussions were meaningful and productive. In addition, the MTS subcommittee met and received a proposal on Hours of Service, and prepared multiple proposals for the next session.

Limited Duty- M&R, MLS, MTS and MCT – We have reached an agreement in principle on this Article which provides enhanced protections for our members.
Hours of Service – M&R, MLS & MCT – We have reached an agreement in principle on this article and will reach a T/A once the QA, Planner & Technical Documentations Specialists group reach an agreement with the company on the section of this article that pertains to them.
General and Miscellaneous – We exchanged proposals on this article with the company in this session. This Article encompasses many facets of the CBA and continues to evolve as we progress through the negotiations process. We are trying to close out as many parts of this Article as practical, leaving it open until the end of the
negotiations to ensure complete coverage in the new JCBA.
Overtime – M&R, MLS and MCT – We did not discuss this article during this session. We remain steadfast in our positions on NO mandatory overtime, limiting job continuation and pay for overtime bypass.
Vacation – M&R, MLS & MCT– We did not discuss this article during this session.
Holidays – M&R, MLS, MTS and MCT – We did not discuss this article during this session.
