Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
This month, I have been working with other key members of our international union to address the discrepancies in the language in our JCBA in preparation for the possibility of full-on negotiation.
I continue to work on our grievances that have been suddenly elevated to a high priority by both the union and the company. If you have an older grievance, it is currently being addressed, as is any new grievance. If you have current violations of our JCBA, rest assured, they will also be addressed.
The company is still replacing headcount that has been on LOA for longer than 90 days but we need your help in identifying those vacancies. If you notice a team member absent for longer than 90 days, please contact a union rep or me so that we can address it.
- Budgeted headcount 316
- Current headcount 319
- Headcount on LOA 11
- Actual headcount 308
As always feel free to contact me at any time.

Grievances & 32J’s:
We are doing a deeper dive into some of the oldest grievances with little or no supporting information. We will circle back to the grievant for any support. Just bare with us as we try to get a clearer picture.
Just as a reminder, if you are part of a 32J investigation, do not discuss the situation with others, that just adds to the confusion. Remember,” No Comment”..

By The Way: Even though a majority of states want to lower prescription drug cost, by curbing the power of PBMs, the 50 year old federal law called ERISA limits that application to the 65% of Americans that work for large employers that cover their workers through so-called self funded health care plans. When we receive the details, we will put it out. The International has said they don’t believe this extension would be greater than two (2) years.
