Vice President:

The Steward meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2025. We will discuss ASAP and Just Policy, along with some changes to the grievance process. If you are a Steward, please make it a priority to attend.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:

Have you noticed?

I have noticed several times in the past month that the CMS truck gate has been wide open with no security on post this, is now monitored solely by our security department and headquarters security and is repaired almost entirely by an un-vetted un-licensed third party this new wave of security just doesn’t seem nearly as safe to me as when we had our licensed Tulsa AA FMG guys in electronics completely doing it, just my opinion though.

Central Clean has been demolished and is about halfway through the rebuild. The entire cleaning process is automated and WILL break down; it will need our Facilities group to repair it when it does, and it will need PMs throughout. We are making sure these PMs make it to TMA so that we have the headcount to repair when needed.

Are you interested in being a union representative? We could really use you

Contact me or Marla Johnson if you are.

  • Budgeted headcount 316
  • Headcount on base 314
  • Headcount on loa 6
  • Headcount total 308

As always, feel free to contact me at any time.

I will be in HGR5 this coming Thursday. 2nd break for midnights, 1st break for day shift, and 1st break for 2nd shift. I want to update you on the latest with letters and moving forward.

I look forward to seeing you at our membership union meeting this month. You are the difference.

Did You Know:

The TWU is dedicated to bettering the lives of working families. We work to safeguard and improve the working conditions and living standards of all workers. We demand respect, dignity, and equality for all. Our members make airplanes fly, railroads run, buses, subways, and bikes move, and keep the traveling public safe! We are more than 160,000 transportation workers, and “We Move America.”

Unions help bring workers out of poverty and into the middle class. In fact, in states where legislation cripples the use of union rights, their incomes are lower. The TWU firmly believes that unions help employers create a more stable and productive workforce, where workers can have a say in improving their jobs. That is good for the company, the employees, and the American economy. In states that have so-called “right-to-work laws,” worker income and benefits are lower. These misnamed laws, which aim at undermining the collective strength workers can achieve through their union, are a bad deal for all workers.

The TWU fights for its members on Capitol Hill, at state houses, at the bargaining table, in the courts, and on the shop floor. We negotiate and enforce the best contracts. We serve and protect the traveling public as they go to work, to school, take a vacation, and safely deliver them home.

Tracy Hardin:

AERO – Just a reminder that with all of the new equipment being installed, if you see an issue, please let someone know prior to final installation. That way, we don’t have to backtrack and repeat the process.

I am continuing to process new and old grievances. Watch you time outside of the gate!

BENEFITS – We should be getting the final medical cost for the 2026 Enrollment by the middle of this month. This will be the perfect time to review your coverage before you find out you don’t have the right coverage.

The Passing of Retired Brother Wade Prentiss Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Wade Prentiss Jr., who left us on August 23, 2025. Brother Prentiss started his career with American Airlines in 1973 as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. As he transitioned to retirement in 1996, Brother Prentiss remained a valued member of our local community, always …
