Local 514’s Digest for the week of November 17, 2023

President:

Marla, Joe and I posted an update video. Please view it when you get an opportunity.

The company apparently has buyers’ remorse on certain articles of the M&R contract as they continue to violate the contract to do an “end-around” in other articles that they don’t agree with. The length of time to get in front of an arbitrator needs to be addressed.  It’s ridiculous to think that waiting till the next round of negotiations is an acceptable way to resolve a dispute.  There is language in all the contracts on final resolution processes.

Meeting participation is extremely low. The officers strive to give quick informative reports on what they have been working on. The meetings have been running for just over an hour. Please pick out a meeting and come down and say hello or tell us what’s on your mind about the Union or Company. All ideas and comments are welcome and help us better serve the membership.

Thanksgiving will be here soon. Everyone stay safe and enjoy your time away.

As always, call me anytime.

Thank you for allowing me to represent you.

Dale

Benefits Spending Account Changes for 2024

SOURCE: Jetnet

Effective, Jan. 1, 2024, American will be transitioning the administrative services for spending accounts
to Fidelity Investments. What does this mean for you? It means you can look forward to an easier, more
consolidated experience when it comes to viewing and managing all of your American-sponsored accounts.
You may be familiar with Fidelity from your 401(k) or legacy American pension, if applicable. But now you can depend on Fidelity to support you when it comes to the accounts that help pay for your eligible medical, dental, vision, dependent care and commuter expenses.
