President:
I’ve had continued talks with Rollie Reaves and Gary Schaible to understand the system issues around Crew Chief known outages, vacation bid, DAT denial pickups, as well as upcoming negotiation plans. The board met with VP of Base Maintenance Greg Emerson on Thursday. He gave us a look back at 2023 challenges and a look forward into 2024. We expressed concerns on Facilities needs, Brake and Wheel center, safety concerns as well as our continued issues with the company trying to use 9ff to circumvent OT, field trips, shift swaps and training. I will travel to Phoenix sometime in January to meet with the IAM to continue discussions on contractual violations by the company.
I hope everyone can enjoy some time away from work over the coming weeks.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.
Vice President:
We had a great turnout for the membership meetings this month. We would like to see more of you throughout the year.
Bikes for Kids was a huge success. Thank you to all who participated in giving and building the bikes. Pictures are posted on FaceBook of the delivery of 125 bikes.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa!
Treasurer:

It’s that time of year! No matter what you celebrate or how, we know many of you are looking for that perfect gift for your friends and family. And we’d like to suggest—in what has become our annual tradition—gifting union made. Best of all, you can feel proud knowing your gifts are made by workers who stood together for family-supporting wages and good benefits.
We’ve expanded our gift guide this year. In addition to the usual assortment of delicious union-made food and drinks, toys and games, and more, we also have gifts for big spenders. Gifts that you can make at home, with union products! Gifts for those who’d rather have an experience. Find that perfect gift, from stocking stuffers to sports equipment to a unique book or theater performance.
Check out our Union-Made Holiday Gift Guide.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
Just the facts;
2023 has been an eventful year. We’ve had a lot of positive change that should be fruitful for years to come, here are a few accomplishments.
-We raised the headcount from 308 to 316. That’s the first time facilities headcount has been added since bankruptcy.
-We’ve added multiple layers of accountability to the TMA system that now tracks the manipulation of the metrics of our pm system.
-We are now beginning to track and expand our training for facilities.
This was just to name a few, obviously we have a lot more work to do but we are on a great start.
I look forward to and I’m very humbled and honored to serve beside all of you in 2024.
To ALL;
Merry Christmas and happy holidays be safe and never forget the reason for the season.
