Vice President:
The next Membership meeting will be on August 28th. For the remainder of the year, we will return to Monday membership meetings as posted in the Calendar. Next year we will be alternating Mondays and Thursdays to accommodate more members.
Vacation bids will be electronic again this year. Watch your AA email for dates for changing DAT options and block bids in November.
The company is working to get shift bids electronically. They hope to have the process rolled out by May 2024.

- Shift swap- if you need a swap in under 24 hours, the supervisors request you have a conversation with them.
- The company in most areas has decided to write people up in the ACP if they incorrectly conduct a shift swap.
Field trips
- When being proffered for a field trip ask for a clear start time, so you know when your field trip pay will start and what time you need to report to work.
FLOC meeting
- The Floc meeting will be on Sept 7th at 100pm and 330pm
WER
- if you need help, please contact us. you only get one shot, without new info.
- When entering in WER info you only have a 15 min window to enter in all info
Cleaners
- The wash-rack cleaners are currently washing inside the hangars because they can’t get to the wash-rack
Chairman of Material Logistics Specialist:
- Supervisors are checking for driver licenses. The Tech Crew Chiefs will be signing you off on all the equipment. This happens every 3 years.
- 3 positions are being posted this weekend. One open slot in each of these shops 025S, 032S and 022S (CDL required) for Issuing vacancy.
- We currently have 486 MLS on base and 19 on LOA.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
There’s a lot of construction still going on, too much to list, We are continuing to work on modifying the docks on Hangar 5, continuously upgrading our fire systems, and replacing air handlers, not to mention the tarmac resurfacing project is ongoing. It’s our goal for TWU to do as much of this work as possible, we are continually serving ideas to management to capture all work for every craft we can, it’s YOUR ideas and dedication that will accomplish this.Feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have.

AAERO:
- The parts washers on the North and Central held crew meetings to address internal issues, safety concerns, and overtime requirements. The crew understands their critical role when it comes to engine production. We are working with facilities to address the safety issues.
- We continue to work on grievances in AAERO and other locations. Remember to turn in all information when filing a grievance.
Friend In Need
- Big Brothers and Sisters of Tulsa is in need of volunteers. If you have an extra hour to support a child in need,please contact me for the details.
The ERBG’s on the base will be hosting a fund drive on Aug 23, 2023 to support the fire victims of Maui.
They will have displays and tables set up around the base to accept donations. If you can support please stop by and donate what you can.
Join Tulsa Area United Way on Saturday, August 19 at 6th and Main in downtown Tulsa as we officially kick off this year’s fundraising drive under the balloon arch.
