September 2021 Is Suicide Prevention with The Department of Veteran Affairs

The VA will be hosting a Community Resource Fair in partnership with the Tulsa Vet Center. The event is scheduled to be held on September 28, 2021 from 3pm-6pm. 

This will be an outdoor event in the parking lot of the Tulsa Vet Center. Suicide prevention is a community effort  and includes meeting all of the Veteran’s needs. 

The Vet Center is located at  14002 E. 21st. Tulsa Suite 200. There is a list of events hosted by the VA that are scheduled throughout the month of September.

Labor Day September 6, 2021

Labor Day will be observed off for most areas at the Tulsa Base. You have until August 29th, 2021 to request how you would like to be coded. Go to Jetnet and access Workbrain to make your request.

Bids and Transfers

There has been a lot of movement across the system. If you are interested in moving out of your bid area, bids and transfers are posted every Friday at 11:59 pm and close the following Tuesday at 11:59 pm.

Vaccine Incentive

For anyone who has received the COVID 19 Vaccine and is interested in getting the Vacation Day and $50 in award points. Be sure to go into Jetnet and request the incentive by August 31, 2021. 

I would suggest you do it ASAP.
