AA management has started counseling and discipline for our members spending time on the “internet”. While we are not in agreement with the manner in which the company is handling this issue, be sure not to place yourself in harms way.
While using any company connected computer you are being monitored, watched, recorded. You do not need to have internet access on AA computers to use the internet. TWU514.ORG , CNN.COM , FAA.GOV are internet use.
These websites and many more are accessible on most all of the American Airlines’computers. In fact, using the computer and these websites along with many others may be very helpful and a part of your job. But, yes, there is a BUT, Everyone needs to remember that all American Airlines’ computers or any computers connected to the American Airlines’ intranet system is being monitored by American Airlines.
If your employee number is logged in a computer and that computer is used to access the internet you may be called in and counseled about internet usage. If you log on to Jetnet for your time and attendance, print it off and take the record to your supervisor don’t forget to sign off.
Also, pay attention when you log into to DWMS to start a job and someone asks a question you may get distracted and forget to sign off. The next person might be surfing the net on your sign in. Remember that AA can record every key stroke on any company connected computer.
