I write to you today as a follow up to our May 26th AA/TWU Leadership Meeting and Paul Wroble’s email of June 24, 2015.
My issues are related to the company’s proposed changes to the current CS Policy on the property at AA and the adoption of the new DAT Day Policy. While I understand the need to reconcile policies, both of the policies referenced above are negotiated items for the IAM. I must admit that I was a bit surprised at the timing of the implementation of these policies considering we are on the verge of contract negotiations. I believe these should be negotiated items for the TWU as well, and based on my review, should these policies be executed, they would violate the current TWU bargaining agreement in several areas.
Therefore, I request that you defer the implementation of these policies until we have had ample time to negotiate these in the proper venue.
