Headcount Movement : Paperwork has been going out to those that will be effected.

  • Many members have been reassigned to AMT from AMTO. This movement created additional OSM vacancies.
  • AMT/OSM preference sheets are going out.  In addition to selecting what shop (OSM) or HOC/Flight Control Shop (AMT), remember to fill in a shift preference as well.  Reassignments will be filling vacant slots by seniority.
  • Thrust Reverser Shop has all OSM’s identified as Surplus and designated to be moved.

FAA approved Single operating certificate at 2:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 Now, most of American and US Airways’ flight, maintenance and dispatch procedures will be the same, but some operating policies and procedures will remain separate for a while, officials said.

United Way Poker Run/Road Rally

Meetings have started on the organization of the rally, Welfare Committee Chairman, Tracy Hardin was in attendance. Right now the date is set for July 11, 2015. The event will be held at Haikey Creek Park 11327 S. Garnett Rd. Bixby, Ok. More details to come when available.

Grievances:

  • Last week we had 259 grievances, 4 were new and 1 was resolved.
  • No new grievance this week. (as of this posting)

CS Policy Meeting @ HDQ with Seymour: Waiting on reschedule. I will be sure to post details as I receive them.

Out of Network Reimbursement Policy “Change June 1, 2015”: We have been in contact with the ATD and apprised them of our belief that this violates our CBA Article 41. International Representative, AA System Coordinator, David Virella is putting together a meeting move against any contract violation that may exist on this matter. Virella also stated that AA had not given any prior communication of these changes. We will post any new information as we get it.

GPM Changes to the Form 8130: Please pass this on.

SECTION 20.11 – Component Serviceability Certification – Shop Release

Maintenance Bases only – The AUTHORIZED SIGNATURE blocks on the FAA Form 8130-3, or Maintenance Record Card of components that are serviceable from a shop, must be signed by the Crew Chief, AMT/Overhaul Support Mechanic (OSM), QC Inspector or Supervisor that has an applicable FAA certificate and must be trained.
