I have just returned home from a week of negotiations in DC, and on to DFW next week.
This past week we did sit down with the full seniority integration team and had dialog pertaining to both the IAM and the TWU positions, Read the letter detailing the process they will be trying to use to resolve the integration issues.
As stated in the negotiations update, you can see we got into Holiday , OT and a few other articles. Although, in my opinion, things are not moving as fast as we would like. I am optimistic that these meetings on seniority and the fact that we are entering into economic articles, may speed up and get us through to a long overdue joint CBA.
Jay Potter and Jason Best (514’s seniority integration team) will be traveling to meetings the week that negotiations are not in session, to advocate the interest of all members of local 514, protecting your seniority rights.
I will be going to Dallas next week and continue to be a strong voice at the table for every member in Tulsa, and that voice will continue to say, I need a contract and I need it now.
Dale Danker
President, TWU Local 514
