Benefits

LTD and STD transferring from American Airlines plans to TWU plans have been in process this week. What you are required to do is create a payroll deduction that will automatically pay your premiums for Long Term Disability and Short Term Disability.

This can be done in ePays on jetnet. You should have received an email from Union Benefit Planners in your AA.com email with all the instructions on this process. An email from support@piedmontpays.com was also sent with the amounts and account that you need to use to set up your direct deposit.

If you still have questions, you can contact Terry Buck, Benefits Chairman

Vacation

For those that had a balance of vacation days at the end of 2020. We have been in contact with the company and they have not agreed to pay us for the days we did not take.

This leads us to a more important topic.

When you are awarded your Vacation for the year. Take it. This company is not willing to allow us to reschedule your vacation. On the other side, we would not want the company to terminate our vacation days as we have scheduled.

This is not something that we will let go. We will continue to push to get what is owed to us.

Stewards:

We will be starting the Union Steward sign up on TWU514.org for the 2021 term on Monday January 11,2021.

You will have from January 11, 2021 to January 22, 2021 to get your name on the list.

If areas are needing elections, they will be held from January 25th through the 28th.  We will post the list of Union Stewards on January 29th.

Stewards are covered in the TWU Local 514 Bylaws HERE

Thanks,

Kendal Anderson
Vice President
