Association updates:
Benefits:
You can now make changes to your FSA contributions
U.S.-based team members have more options to manage your finances in 2020. You can now make changes to your flexible spending account (FSA) contributions mid-year. Usually, these amounts can only be adjusted during Annual Enrollment or with certain life events. However, in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, new IRS guidance has made it possible for you to open a new FSA or increase, decrease, or stop contributions to a current FSA to fit the financial needs of you and your family. You can make changes to your health care flexible spending account (HCFSA), dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA) or limited purpose HCFSA. Learn more on Jetnet.
To make changes to your FSA contributions, call the American Airlines Benefits Service Center at 888-860-6178, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT.
COVID – 19:
We have more covid-19 cases at American. You will be notified by the company if there is a positive test in your area. Wear your masks if you are 6ft or less away from each other and can safely do so. Try to stay 6 feet away when working as you can. Wash, wash, wash your hands and areas before and after shifts.

Shift Bids – MLS
Myself and Scott Chisum volunteered to do the MLS Bid when asked at a meeting on 7/7/2020 by Dale Danker. Mr. Foster had mentioned they were going to continue just prior to him leaving but nothing was ever shared to clarify anything. Scott Chisum and myself began working the bid with the company to be efficient as we can on the new bid areas. We will continue to answer your questions as they come in. All of you should have received your bid sheets. ANY questions please contact myself or Scott. I will update as needed.
Sincerely,
Linda Dill
Chairwoman of MLS – TUL514

Reduction in Force/Recall/Voluntary Separation
Remember:ART12 covers Reduction in Force/Recall/Voluntary Separation. Layoffs are done by seniority. Taking a VLOA does NOT allow someone on ID, SK, Military or any other LOA to bypass a layoff. There is no difference for the union workforce in a Layoff/Furlough situation. The Union contract states our recall rights do not end. You are called back by Seniority.
Management is the ones that usually use the word furlough, for them a furlough is a “chance” to come back to work, a layoff means they are gone. Not so for our union workers under this contract.
