Local 514 Digest for the Week of June 19, 2020

COVID 19:

We have had many questions as to how we go about COVID 19 testing. The following is the information we obtained from Premise here at the Tulsa Base:

The Clinic

Services Offered:

Phone Screening: Through a telephone consult, (918) 292-3250, you can meet with an RN to complete a screening of your symptoms and recommend the next steps.

Antibody Testing: Through a telephone consult, (918) 292-3250, a screening can be completed to determine if you are eligible for antibody testing.  If so, you will be referred to a Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp laboratory for testing.

COVID-19 screening and testing (both PCR testing and antibody testing) are covered 100% and are no direct cost to you if:

    • You are enrolled in an American medical plan
    • The tests are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or are distributed under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) procedures.

July 4th Holiday:

Be sure to comp that day if that is what you want to do, Staff Admin is where you would comp it.

Employees not scheduled to work, or scheduled to work, but not required to work on the above-mentioned holidays, will be compensated for the day equal to the number of regularly scheduled hours at their regular straight time rate, or may at their option, receive one (1) compensatory day at their regular straight time rate deposited into their compensatory bank.

Article 22 covers this in detail:

Work Brain:

We have been hearing that the company will be handling all the Vacations Picks, Shift Bids, and Attendance related issues on Work Brain, it is our understanding this is to be possibly implemented sometime in Jan. 2021.
