March 5, 2011 – Stand Together Rally “We are all under attack!” shouts a speaker at the collective rights workers rally. “The tragic reality is that children will go to bed hungry!” Teachers, students, clergy, and workers, most are parents standing together to feed their families. “The message we are trying to send out is Oklahomans do care about working families and we do care about workers rights,” says worker and organizer of the rally, David Ratcliff. Sam Cirri spoke at the rally and said he believes that under these bad circumstances, all workers, unions, both public and private, must come together and Stand United, Make our Voices Heard from city to city, state to state and coast to coast. Thanks to all who showed up to support Working People’s collective bargaining rights.
March 5 – Saturday we said goodbye to dialing seven digits to make a local phone call. Mandatory 10 digit dialing is now in effect for the 918 area code. There is no change to 211, 411, and 911. There is no additional charge for local calls of area codes 918 and 539.
