My Pension: New Tool, New Services for Retirement Planning

Employees and retirees will begin using the new retirement tools and services in phases based on workgroup:


Phase 1 – March 2011

“MY PENSION” IN BENEFITS SERVICE CENTER
The new pension calculator is located in
Benefits Service Center, the same tool you use today to complete health benefits enrollment. Benefits Service Center offers convenient access to Jetnet and eHR resources, as well as direct access to chat or e-mail assistance from an HR Services representative when needed.

What’s on “My Pension”?:

  • Pension details – see personal pension data including pre-retirement survivor (QPSA) or former spouse beneficiary details
  • Pension estimator – estimate pension payments by age or retirement date
  • Change plan view – see other pension details if vested in more than one AA plan
  • Online pension package request – automated process to request pension paperwork if commencing pension at time of retirement
  • Mouse over (hover) text – Read descriptions of pension terms and data
  • Pension forms – link to pension or divorce forms

 

AA retirees who have commenced pension benefits can now access Benefits Service Center to:

  • View pension payment history
  • View pension deductions
  • Update federal tax information
  • Update direct deposit information
  • Update pension benefit mailing address via Update MY Information on Jetnet’s homepage.

 

RETIREMENT SERVICES
When you’re ready, HR Services will walk you through the retirement process via phone at 800-4HR-2000 (800-447-2000) through an easy two-call process with “no appointment-required” counseling during business hours.

Refreshed Retirement Planning Page
An updated
Retirement Planning page offers step-by-step resources. A new retirement checklist will walk you through what you need to know about retirement. You’ll also find resources for Medicare, Social Security, financial planning and schedules for retirement seminars and webinars led by retirement specialists.
