I’m writing you today to give you a update on what’s happening in Stores/MLS department. The company is in the process of hiring 40 new MLS positions. The openings will be as follows.
1-10 Open positions in Receiving (POSTED NOW)
2- 5 Open positions in HGR 1/2
3- 5 Open positions in HGR 3/4
4- 5 Open positions in HGR 5/6
5- 1 Open position in BWC/APU
6- 2 Open positions in Stock 7/ Kitting
7- 5 Open positions in Issuing
8- 3 Open positions in CMS
9- 4 Open position in Shipping.
Total 40 Openings.
All of these opening will go thru the shop to shop process. Keep an eye on the bids and transfer page in Jetnet.
Also the company is going to post 4 new Crew Chief Positions, these openings are yet to be determined where.
The week of June 12th Tracy Hardin and myself along with members of Management will be interviewing external candidates for the above MLS Positions.
As for where we are in contract talks you have as much information as I do. I feel your frustration. Continue to look for updates from the Association.
We will be holding a grievance meeting to discuss open grievances May 30th and 31st.
In closing we have reached the point that we all need to STAND TOGETHER. I’m asking each of you to step up and get more involved and lead by example. REMEMBER you as a group are the union, and the more WE STAND UNITED as one the better off WE ALL will be in the end.
