Dear Colleague:
The purpose of this message is to notify you that important federally required information regarding your pension plan has been published.
The 2011 Annual Pension Funding Notice for the TWU-Represented Employee pension plan contains information about the plan including funding levels, asset values, number of participants and investment policy for the benefits plan year of 2011.
This information and more details about American’s benefits and compensation are now available online:

Annual Funding Notice
The distribution of the Annual Funding Notice has been a legal requirement since 2008 and is unrelated to the Company’s Chapter 11 filing last November.
