Passing of Brother Billy Scott

Billy Joe Scott was born March 15, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Brenda Sue (Denney) and Gary Richard Scott, Sr. He departed this life on Monday, December 20, 2021, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 52 years, 9 months, and 5 days. Growing up, Billy attended elementary and middle schools in Mannford, Oklahoma. He graduated with the Locust Grove High School class of 1987. He was a resident of Mannford and Locust Grove all his life. Billy worked at Stair Master in Tulsa for some time. He then worked for American Airlines for over 22 years. He was a part of the Tahlequah Worship Center. Billy was an avid hunter that enjoyed competition shooting and archery. He had a great sense of humor and rarely had a serious discussion. If Billy picked on you, that meant he loved you. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Billy is survived by: his father: Gary Richard Scott, Sr. of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his brother: Gary Richard, Jr. and wife Lisa of Mannford, Oklahoma; his sister: Misty Martin of Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews including: Gary Richard “Bear” Scott, III and wife Amanda, Cory Alexander Scott and Samantha Brown, Shannon Christina Stipes and husband Casey, and Alicia Martin; his close friend that was like a brother: Lance Cole and wife Cristy; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
