The American Airlines Absence Reporting System (AARS) is no longer available for employee call-ins. A new system is being created and will take approximately 4-6 months until it is available for use. Until that date a new process is being implemented immediately.
All employees who are reporting an absence for Sick, FMLA (personal or family member), or ID will now call Security at 918-292-3256. If any employee is calling in for vacation, bereavement or any other type of absence they must call their supervisor or designated lead in their department.
Absence Call In: 918-292-3256
Reason: Sick, FMLA, ID
Please provide the security personnel with your employee number, name, shop number and the reason for your absence.

Please use the following instruction to report absence.
AARS: Welcome… To report an absence press 1 now or press 2 for supervisor functions.
Response: Press 1
AARS: Please enter your employee number followed by the pound sign
Response example: 999999#
AARS: Please enter your shop number followed by the pound sign
Response example: 2999#
AARS: After the tone please state your name, then press the pond sign on your touch tone phone
Response example: “John Smith“, then press”#”
AARS: After the tone please leave a short message explaining the reason for your absence, then press the pound sign on your touch tone phone
Response example: ” I have the flu and won’t be in today” then press “#”
AARS: An absence will be recorded….
Response: Press 1 to record, or 2 to start over
AARS: Please right down the following tracking number for your reference: 9999 Press 1 to repeat your absence tracking number, or press 2 to end this call.
Response: Write down your tracking number, then press 2 to end the call. Press 1 to repeat the tracking number.
Note: You must hear a tracking number to ensure that your call is recorded. Do NOT hang up before hearing your tracking number.
