On Friday, May 27 and continuing during the AAEAA Picnic, with less than 36 hours notice, members of TWU Local 514 and American Airlines employees donated enough water, clothing, pet supplies, toiletries and other items to fill three U-Haul trailers, two personal utility trailers and another truck bed.
There were also several people who donated money by cash, check and texting a gift of $10 on their cell phones. Six trucks and five trailers full of donated items were driven by 10 volunteers on May 29 to the AmeriCorps in Joplin, where distributions will be made to tornado victims. Great Job to all who contributed!
