The Passing of Brother Jimmy Waggoner

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brother Jimmy Waggoner on June 23rd, 2025. Brother Waggoner had served as an Aviation Maintenance Technician at American Airlines for over 33 years.

Jimmy began his career at American Airlines in 1991 and worked diligently to ensure the safety and reliability of our aircraft. His dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.

Brother Waggoner passed away on June 23rd, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his contributions to our union and the aviation industry will never be forgotten.

Jimmy Michael Waggoner, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on June 23, 2025. Born on October 26, 1960, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jimmy was the beloved son of Johnny Waggoner and Mary Jo Armstrong.

A dedicated and skilled professional, Jimmy worked for American Airlines, where he brought his passion for aviation to life each day. His deep love for airplanes and flying was just one of the many joys that colored his life. Beyond the skies, Jimmy found happiness in the great outdoors—fishing, hunting, camping, and cheering on his favorite sports teams with unwavering enthusiasm.

Jimmy’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Waggoner; his loving daughters, Katelyn Radi and her husband, Chris, Kesha Fuqua and her husband Clint, and Erica Garrett and her husband James; and his cherished grandchildren, Kynzi Thompson-Moore, Avilynn Radi, Paisley Radi, Talia Radi, Daphne Butler, Caleb Smith, and Sharlett Smith. He is also survived by his brother, Rex Waggoner, and his wife, Patty; sister-in-law, Pat Waggoner; and nephews, John Waggoner, Rex Jr. Waggoner, and Neal Waggoner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny Ray Waggoner.

Jimmy will be remembered for his warmth, adventurous spirit, and deep devotion to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will continue to inspire those who knew him. All will truly miss him.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
