He also dedicated 33 years of hard work and service to American Airlines before retiring. He was nicknamed “Birdman” by friends due to his love of exotic birds, especially macaws, which he raised for 18 years. He was an avid numismatist and loved to talk about coins with his nieces and nephews. Other hobbies included playing the card game, Rook, dominoes and fishing. He was well known for enjoying RC Cola and “hot chicken” from Ron’s Hamburgers at the Farm Shopping Center. More than anything, Dennis will be remembered for his gentle heart, his loyalty to family, giving spirit, and his steadfast walk with Jesus Christ.
