
It is with great regret that we announce the passing of our retired brother, Joseph Michael DiCiolla, who passed away on October 23, 2025. Brother DiCiolla dedicated 47 years of his life to American Airlines, starting his career in 1972 and retiring in 2019 as a Maintenance Control Technician.
During his nearly five decades of service, Joe worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and efficiency of our aircraft, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His dedication to his craft was an inspiration to all who knew him.
We offer our deepest condolences to Joe’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories of his life, his accomplishments, and the impact he had on those around him.
As we mourn the loss of our brother, we also celebrate his life and his many years of service to American Airlines. We will miss him dearly, but his spirit will continue to inspire us to work together for a better future for all.

Obituary for Joseph Michael DiCiolla
Joseph Michael DiCiolla was born on March 10, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph D. DiCiolla and Angela Rosa (Dicinto) DiCiolla. He passed from this life on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Joseph was raised and educated in Chicago and graduated with the Holy Trinity High School Class of 1965. He enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 11 March 1966 to 10 March 1970. Joseph was married on April 2, 1977, in Wood Dale, Illinois to Linda Tavia (Schilling) DiCiolla. Joseph earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science from the College of San Mateo, in San Mateo, California, in January 1978. He spent most of his working life as an MD80 Maintenance Control Technician with American Airlines. Joesph was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church since moving to Owasso in 2003. In his spare time, he enjoyed flying and working on his plane, teaching pilot instruction, and watching action and horror movies. He is survived by;
