Chairman of Maintenance

Here is a short update for Tulsa Base either current or future state.
- The A321 that was previously scheduled for a C11 check in Tulsa will not be done at Tulsa Base.
- A sixth 737 line is slated to start this fall at Tulsa Base. AA has not determined which hanger the work will be done in.
- One last MD80 Heavy check is scheduled for Tulsa. Headcount from 6C is currently scheduled to perform the work that will be housed in hanger 3/4 while approximately 30 heads will perform a connectivity check in 6C.
- AA is purchasing two platform 737 tail docks instead of full docks. Delivery date is approximately six weeks. I have expressed my concerns of the long term effects to our AMT’s having to work off of scissor lifts and JLG’s, and the costs associated with possible injuries due to pushing and pulling while working off of lifts/ accidental dropping of parts and costs associated with long term equipment rental agreement’s. My conversations were with the 737 Director as well as the new MD in a recent meeting.
- The Union and the Company are currently updating the QAM to reflect the current state at Tulsa Base.
- Ray Wilson, Jay Potter, and Myself recently attended the MRO’s of America conference in Orlando Florida. This conference is structured for the MRO’s to present bids on the work performed at the Commercial Airlines/Cargo and Regional Companies. American Airlines was in attendance. We have put together a presentation summarizing our report, and presented it at our recent Membership Meeting. If you are are interested in a copy of this presentation please contact Jay Potter or Myself.
- I want to personally invite our Members to attend the monthly Membership Meetings and to Attend our weekly Black Shirt Solidarity Walk in front of the White House every Tuesday at 10:30AM. Due to the current state of negotiations it is Imperative the TWU shows Strength and Solidarity and shows our support for the Negotiating Committee.
Thank You for allowing me to Represent You
Sincerely,
Pat Kinnamon
