TWU 514 Safety is looking for someone – who has a passion for safety with the desire to help others- to apply for a full-time TWU Safety Coordinator Facility Maintenance position. Applicants must be currently working in Title II Facility Maintenance to be considered. Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Accident reviews
- Safety walks
- Audits and Observations
- Liaison between the TWU and Management
- Leading monthly safety meetings
- Giving safety report outs at the TWU Membership meetings
- Attending Joint Safety Committee and Accident Prevention Council meetings
- Most importantly providing safety support to the members on the floor.
This position will be filled by the most qualified applicant from Title II Facility Maintenance who will be determined by an interview process. This job is demanding, fast paced, busy and requires a self-motivated, energetic individual. Experience in safety is not required but is helpful. Communication and people skills are a must, and clerical skills will be helpful.
