President Update
This week I attended the Benefits conference in Charleston, South Carolina. A red flag that stuck out in my mind was that “Return to Work Specialists” believe the company is following the contract. Laughable I know! It appears that management system-wide does not care that the contract book allows for Union members to come back to work under limited duty (Article 26 in every book). They do not care that the contract book is an agreement, an agreement that took 5 years to finish. Just keep this in mind. They are pushing everyone to get work out according to their timeline and their flow of work irregardless of your input. If you cut corners to bend to their demands and get injured in the process of doing that, just know local management will be doing everything they can to keep you from coming back to work.
Also along those same lines if you get in an argument with a supervisor or manager they are going to lean towards terminating you if they believe they can get away with it. I know they are asking you to follow their flow and processes. If you feel the need to express to them how stupid or wrong their processes are my advice would be to do it in a manner that it will be difficult for them to fire you. Also I advise to always have a trustworthy witness.

Hangar 5/6 Ramp Construction
Ramp Replacement outside of Hangars 5/6 will be an ongoing commitment for the next 18-24 months. If you walk the ramp you need to be aware of your surroundings with numerous construction vehicles traveling between there and the plating shop exit. New walk areas are being painted and should be used. Avoid walking around the outside of Hangar 5 West side. Instead cut in between Hangar 5 and the Cam building.
