President:
As I continue to interview Crew Chiefs for the dodgeball grievance in Hangars 5 and 6 it is overwhelmingly clear to me that the management team in those hangars have zero regard for our contract. Management should not be telling Crew Chiefs who to move or moving them themselves. I have been in constant communication with upper management and they are aware that Hangars 5 and 6 need a lot of work on their side. I would ask the crew chiefs and crew members in those hangars to be aware of when management is out on the floor. When the management team is in the spotlight, they try to put you under the spotlight. If you feel like a supervisor or manager is disrespectful or threatening to you, please get their name and get in touch with your Steward. If needed, give me a call at 918-636-6089. I’m hopeful that the new Director for 5 and 6 will have meetings with the Crews and Crew Chiefs to get your input. I will continue my job to prepare for Mediation or, ultimately, Arbitration for their continued violation of the contract. Please look out for each other during this time. I know that the supervisors have been told to find sleepers and people out of their work areas. Don’t get yourself fired while upper management is scrutinizing the management team in 5 and 6.
Thank you AMT’s. I wish the company would recognize all AMT’s when they give out their gifts. Charles Taylor wasn’t a licensed mechanic back in 1903 but he was able to build a motor from nothing that put the Wright Brothers in the history books. To all that help to put a plane in the air and get it safely back on the ground, Thank you.
Happy Memorial Day to all.
I can be reached 24/7 at 918-636-6089.
Take care
Vice President:
Memorial Day is Monday, May 26th. Let’s take a moment to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military and thank everyone who has served. Your sacrifice gives us all the freedom we have today.
“The nation which forgets its defenders will be itself forgotten.” — Calvin Coolidge
On AMT Day on May 24, take time to honor all of our Aviation Maintenance Technicians because without them, we would not get where we want to go. Every time you step on a plane and arrive safely at your destination, you have an aviation technician to thank, along with all the maintenance support that work here in Tulsa. They are the people behind the scenes who are often forgotten.
Thank you for all you do.
Chairman of Maintenance:
Reminder: Workplace Conduct
Please make every effort to stay alert during your shift. If you’re feeling tired, take a moment to stand up, stretch, or walk around to stay engaged. We’ve had a few recent terminations due to employees falling asleep at work, and we want to avoid any further issues. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Happy AMT Day!
We appreciate everything you do—thank you for your hard work and dedication!
Insurance Coverage Reminder
There have been a few recent cases where individuals believed they were enrolled in insurance but were not, which meant they were unknowingly uninsured. Please take a moment to confirm your insurance status. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to a board member—we’re here to help.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
“BOOM”
That’s the sound of a S&C switch that hasn’t been PM’d routinely when it finally explodes and that’s what happened this past Wednesday night around 10 pm because of this, the entire AA base went offline, thankfully our AA electrician’s were here and knew what to do, they worked together and isolated the problem circuit and got the base back online in about 30 minutes, allowing the rest of our facilities mechanics to work in their perspective areas to put everything that went off, back online. Thank you ALL for what you do.
I want to make sure everyone knows this is the fourth electrical fire in three years; before the electrical PMs were removed from our TMA System, there were none.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day. As always, feel free to call me anytime.

Memorial Day to some people signals the beginning of summer, family vacations, and connections with old friends. Don’t forget lost loved ones and close friends.
