Local 514’s Digest for the week of Apr 28, 2023

President:

No word on the sick points decision. I take several calls a week on this and I ask if they are in jeopardy of moving closer to level 3. Most say yes. I advise them to do everything they can to come to work.

I’ve been working with Al Ball and Brad Mueller to test our new video room and I believe we are very close to start making videos again. I want to say a special thank you to Brad Mueller for the countless hours he has devoted after work putting the video system together. My goal will be to update videos once a month. In these videos, the officers and I will cover the previous month as well as the things coming in the months ahead.

Dale Danker

Vice President:

April has been a hectic month.

David Cooper stepped down from his position. The Executive Board has been working hard on the process to get it filled. We have determined that we will have a special election, more details to follow. Troy Ott is our 90-day replacement until the election is held.

Terry, Tracy, and I attended an EAP meeting in Texas. We all need to be aware of changes in coworkers around us. If you notice drastic changes in coworkers and are uncomfortable with approaching them, please contact one of us to reach out.

Jay, Joe, and I went to the MRO in Atlanta. It was great seeing our members compete. These are pictures on our Facebook Page and Local 514 Website of the event.

As always, we continue to work on our grievances. I have been withdrawing point grievances that are over a year old that only requested the points be removed due to the time frame they should have dropped off.
