Tuesday/ Wednesday Day off Rumor Control
The rumor on the floor is that I as President signed off on the Tuesday/Wednesday day off schedule.
This is not true. Myself and the Executive board have fought this ridiculous schedule as well as Rollie Reaves, President Local 567, fighting the same issue at DWH. Rollie and I have discussed this with VP Emerson. We repeatedly tell him that the chaos of management’s decisions are negatively affecting productivity but he is not willing to bend.
Article 14 (A.
The standard workday (shift) shall be eight (8) consecutive hours, exclusion of a one-half (½) hour unpaid meal period, consisting of five (5) consecutive workdays midnight Sunday to midnight Saturday, shall constitute a standard work week. The Company will determine the available work schedules as appropriate for all bid areas.
Article 14 (B.
“Each employee will be scheduled for two (2) days off during each workweek. The Company will make every reasonable effort to arrange work schedules so that, whenever practicable, those days will be Saturday and Sunday. When an employee’s days off are other than Saturday or Sunday, they will be two (2) consecutive days or Sunday in one work week and Monday in the following work week.”
Article 14 (S.
“All shifts and days off will be fixed and awarded based on seniority described in this Agreement.”
We have been actively filing grievances against the company for this schedule. We believe that it hurts productivity not helps. Please continue to file grievances in the areas with this schedule.

Dale
Contracts:
The print shops in Tulsa are running into supply issues with ink.
Will have about 1200 M&R contract books ready by the end of next week. The MCT, MLS and MTS contract books will be ready at that time also. This information comes via the print shop.
Disciplinary Sick Points:
The company’s decision to punish Union members for use of their earned sick benefit will be arbitrated on September 20, 2022. Please continue to file grievances if you get disciplinary points for sick use.
