Message on Overtime

The overtime article in your respective classifications contract book is implemented.  There are some differences between the language and how it is interpreted for the company’s staff admin program and work brain program.  Those differences do not preclude the company or the union from allowing you your rights under the new OT rules. 
 
I do want to stress to everyone that if you sign up for OT and get awarded the proffer it is your shift. Please read the following pages from Article 18 OT.
 

Grievances:

The Company has been mailing the reply to your grievance to your last known address. Please be sure your address is updated with the company. Time limits could affect the outcome of your grievance if they mail it to the wrong address.

 


Pension Packages

The Pension Service Center has processed 2272 Pension Packages Company wide ,940 Pension Packages for TWU system wide. Pension kits are taking 7-10 days to receive currently, may increase as volumes of request increase. 

First Pension Checks are being received approximately 8 weeks after commencement date.

 Example : If you retire on October 1st, your first check may arrive around November 30 ,2020 which will include  October and November pension payments.

Front Line Computer Browser Issue

    • The browser issue with Google Chrome not being installed on front line computers will have a temporary fix starting on September 28 , this will allow members to access Benefit Service Center.

Long Term Disability (LTD) Switchover

    • Hartford LTD will no longer be available effective January 1,2020 . All TWU members will be automatically enrolled in NEW AMERICAN AIRLINES LTD PROGRAM IF YOU WISH TO DECLINE YOU MUST DESELECT DURING ANNUAL  BENEFIT ENROLLMENT WINDOW (10/15/2020 THRU 11/06/2020)

Company Hiring:

We received an email from Vertex Aerospace Employment, and would like to pass it along.

Due to COVID, I see AA is going to have to have another RIF, so sorry, bad times.
