This latest round of Negotiations with American Airlines was held in Kansas City, MO this week. Our first session with NMB Mediator Jack Kane at the Negotiating Table netted some positive results as the two parties were able to come to a Tentative Agreement on 4 Articles. On Tuesday, June 9th, the Stores Sub-Committee along with Intl. Representative Don Videtich met with the Company and presented the latest Proposals on all open Articles. The Proposals to the Company included Articles 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,11,12,34,36, 39,40,41,42,46, and 47. On Wednesday, June 10th, the Stores Sub-Committee met with the Company and reached tentative agreements the following Articles: Article 2 – “Definitions”, Article 11 – “Classifications and Qualifications”, Article 39 – now titled “Fitness for Duty”, and Article 46 – now titled “One Station Complex Agreement”. Also on Wednesday, the two parties met to discuss the dispositions of Letters of Agreements and Letters of Memorandum. The Company made no additional Counter-proposals to the remaining Open Articles. The next scheduled round of Negotiations will be held during the week of July 13th- 17th, again in Kansas City, MO.
