Obituary for Ludwig Alfred Dischner, Sr.

Ludwig Alfred Dischner Jr. was born in Buffalo, NY to Ludwig Sr. and Norma Joan Dischner (Kindron).

After attending Burgard Tech School for aviation, Ludwig spent over a decade in the United States Air Force. He then accepted a job at American Airlines in Owasso, OK where he spent the next 30+ years in roles from mechanic to inspector until retirement. He started a family with his wife, Sally, and was active in the catholic church and several charities in Tulsa.

Known by his friends and family as “Fred”, he loved tending to his gardens, spending time in the Allegany region of New York state, cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, and he never knew a stranger as he was a deep believer in the power of faith and friendship.

He is survived by his wife, Sally, his son, Ludwig III (Hannah), and 3 brothers, Carl (Linda), Gary, and Richard (Laureen). In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Catholic Charities or St. Jude.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 14th, at 6:00 p.m., at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1007 N 19th Street, Collinsville, Oklahoma.
