I attended a meeting in Dallas to discuss internal structural issues within the Air Division of the TWU. 

Mike Mayes chaired the meeting with Rollie Reaves, Gary Schaible, Gary Peterson and myself. We discussed the continued erosion of Local autonomy from decisions that were recently made concerning who will handle grievances through the GRB process as well as arbitration.

Quill Scholarship – 2022

The union has been honoring our founder with these scholarships since 1969. Quill Scholarship awards have benefited hundreds of TWU families. Children of our members in transit, railroad and air transportation, utilities, public employment, space installations, and allied industries are among those who began their college educations with the help of the TWU’s signature scholarship.

The 2022 Michael J. Quill Scholarship Fund offers fifteen (15) college-bound dependents of TWU members a scholarship worth $4,800.00. This scholarship will be paid out, each year in the amount of $1,200.00 to winners who continue to be eligible over their four (4) year course.

Seniority List

AA has given us the January 31, 2022 seniority list. Please review the list for any errors.

If you find an error you will need to file a protest (form HERE). 

ARTICLE 11 – SENIORITY

 

1. 1. The Company shall post a seniority list by the last day of January of each year and employees or the Association may protest any omission or error affecting any employee’s seniority within thirty (30) days of the current posting. Such lists, published by Group or Classification, will provide, at minimum, the name, employee number, seniority number, Classification seniority date, Company seniority date, job classification, and station of each employee, covered under this Agreement. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of thirty (30) days from his date of return to service to file a protest.
