New Hangar 7 Announcement

“American makes largest ever investment in a maintenance base”

American Airlines is making a $550 million investment in its Tech Ops maintenance complex in Tulsa, Okla. – the largest investment the company has ever made in a maintenance facility.

The investment comes in the form of a new widebody capable aircraft hangar that will replace two existing buildings and a base support building that will have offices for the overhaul and engineering teams. Other improvements to the Tulsa facility will be part of the investment.

The project is also the largest capital investment in Tulsa’s history, said Mayor G.T. Bynum at a Friday morning event in Oklahoma.
